Rules and
Conditions:
These Official Rules and Guidelines govern your participation in the
"Win a FREE trip to PASS SUMMIT" giveaway (“Promotion"), sponsored by
MSSQLTips and Idera (“Sponsor”).
NO ENTRY FEE. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
Promotion Dates
Starts on July 20th and ends on August 31st, 2010 at Midnight -
Eastern Daylight Time. (“Promotion Period”).
Eligibility and How to Enter
The Promotion is open to legal
residents of the U.S. and Canada who complete the PASS Giveaway
registration form on the MSSQLTips.com website between July 20th and
August 31st 2010. Participants can also enter by downloading a
14-day trial of any Idera SQL Server product between July 20th and August 31st
2010 and checking the box to "Enter me in the PASS SUMMIT trip
giveaway" on the Idera download registration page. Downloading Idera
free tools will not result in an entry for the giveaway. Idera free
tools include SQL check, SQL permissions, SQL job manager,
PowerShell scripts and SharePoint performance monitor. Downloading
Idera SQL Server products will result in one contest entry regardless of how
many products are downloaded, or how many times the download form is
completed.
This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial,
state and municipal laws and regulations and is void where
prohibited.
Employees of Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates,
subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, their
immediate family members and persons living in their same household,
are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
By entering, participants
acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules and Guidelines
("Official Rules"), including eligibility requirements, and the
decisions of the Sponsor and/or its agents as final.
All winners must be 18 years of age
or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted.
There will be one winner for this
promotion.
Prizes and Drawing
All Promotion entries meeting the requirements of these Official
Rules will be entered into a drawing to be held on September 3rd,
2010 where a random drawing will be held with the following prize
awarded to one winner: one Full Summit (3-Days) pass to the "PASS
SUMMIT 2010 in Seattle", roundtrip airfare within the
continental United States or Canada, four night’s hotel
accommodations and additional funds for other expenses such as
meals, parking and other transportation costs.
The winner will be contacted by phone or e-mail within 5 business
days of the prize drawing. If, within 10 business days of the prize
drawing, a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails
to claim a prize and/or, where applicable, an affidavit of
eligibility and publicity/liability release is not timely received,
is incomplete or modified, the prize may be forfeited and an
alternate winner may be selected from remaining valid eligible
entries timely submitted.
Winner meeting
all the eligibility requirements can expect to receive their prize
paperwork/information within four weeks of the drawing. All taxes
are the sole responsibility of the winner. Tax form 1099 will be
issued when required by law. Sponsor is not responsible for any
other expenses, costs or damages winner may incur at the hotel, as
it is only liable for the room rate and applicable taxes. Total
value of Grand Prize is valued at approximately $3,595.00 USD. All
travel arrangements will be made through Sponsor and its travel
agency. The total cost of travel arrangements, hotel and additional
funds cannot exceed $2,000.00 USD (note: the additional funds cannot
exceed $500.00 USD).
The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible
entries received. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not
convertible to cash.
Legal
Sponsor may require winners to sign and return an affidavit of
eligibility, a liability release, and (where lawful) a publicity
release as a condition of receiving the prize. This Promotion is
subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal
laws and regulations. Each winner acknowledges and agrees that it
will be the winner’s sole obligation to report all federal,
provincial, state and municipal income, and to pay all taxes related
thereto, for all prizes received from Sponsor pursuant to this
Promotion, if applicable. These rules govern all aspects of the
Promotion and are binding on all participants. Each winner agrees to
indemnify Sponsor and hold it harmless to the extent any obligations
are imposed by law on Sponsor to pay any applicable federal,
provincial, state and municipal taxes or similar items in connection
with any cash award made to the winner by Sponsor. The participant
represents and warrants to Sponsor that by participating in this
Promotion they are not violating any law or policy of their
employer.
By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to be
bound by the Promotion Official Rules. Participants also agree to
release and hold Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors,
shareholders, agents, representatives of Sponsor, its parent
companies, affiliates and subsidiaries harmless from any and all
losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in
connection with the Promotion or resulting from acceptance,
possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation,
personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on
publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
Additional Terms
Except where prohibited, by accepting any prize, winner consents to
the use of his/her name and other information provided for
advertising and promotional purposes without additional
compensation. Participants email will be automatically added
to the MSSQLTips email newsletter list and the Idera email
newsletter list. You can be removed from these lists at any
time by requesting to unsubscribe.
