AWS (Amazon Web Services) for SQL Server offers two options: Amazon EC2 or Amazon RDS. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is the fully installed SQL Server version most of us are accustomed to. Amazon RDS (Relational Database Service) is a relational database-as-a-service that is fully managed by Amazon.
In this webcast we will review the Amazon SQL Server Database security features on EC2 and RDS as well as compare and contrast these technologies to an on-premises installation so that you can determine how well they meet your requirements. We will also help you transition your skills so you know the security best practices when working with either of these options.
