In this technical session, Jason Hall, Senior Sales Engineer for Dell Software will focus on best practices around managing SQL Server indexes.

He will discuss the types of indexes that can be created and how to proactively choose the right indexes for your systems, and how to find missing and inefficient indexes on an existing instances of SQL Server. The session will include a mix of discussion and demo, and will be relevant to DBA’s and Developers who want to maximize the performance of SQL Server.

Jason Hall is a Senior Sales Engineer at Dell Software, focused on complex database solutions for strategic accounts, and over the past 16+ years has held roles in IT management, technical support and database administration. Jason's areas of specialization include database administration and development, SQL Server, Oracle, business intelligence, performance monitoring, High Availability, and disaster recovery. He has presented at several industry conferences, most specifically PASS Summit, SQL Server User Groups, and SQL Saturdays and has authored several blog posts and white papers referencing SQL Server management and best practices. Jason holds a MCITP (Microsoft SQL Server) certification.
