Troubleshooting SQL Server Connection Issues

IDERA sponsored on-demand webinar

Webcast Abstract

Whenever a connection to SQL Server fails, its usually blamed on SQL Server by default. There are dozens of things between the user and SQL Server that could cause the connection to fail. The problem is proving it. How do you convince someone that its not me, its you? And then of course, sometimes it actually is SQL Server. This session will demonstrate how to determine the root cause of the failures and explain how to prove to others what the real issue is.

We will look at some of the most common connection issues and show how to troubleshoot them. This session will start with the basics like firewalls and SQL Server protocols and move on to some more advanced topics like mining the ring buffer connectivity data for connection issues.
