Make the most of SQL Server Integration Services Script Components

(this is an on-demand video)

Sponsored by - Melissa

Webcast Abstract

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) has become the defacto standard for moving data in Microsoft shops. Although moving data is generally possible with the data flow components, sometimes scripting is necessary to address particular requirements. Unfortunately, SSIS Script Components can be complex and unlike typical .NET projects in Visual Studio have limitations due to architectural differences. Overcoming these obstacles can be time consuming and error prone. Itís not uncommon for developers to make use of third party libraries, APIs, and Web Services in their applications or scripts. Doing so in SQL Server Integration Services poses some challenges and limitations. Moreover, some data transformations require asynchronous processing of data which are otherwise unachievable through a synchronous serial process.

In this webinar, you will learn:

We will also learn about a solution from Melissa on how to ease your SQL Server data management directly in Integration Services.
