Performance Tuning SQL Server using Wait Statistics

SolarWinds sponsored on-demand webinar

Webcast Abstract

In this session we will examine how the SQL Server engine processes queries, allowing us to dive deep into wait events. SQL Server Wait Statistics are one of the most important and common performance tuning metrics that can be used to track and troubleshoot query performance by identifying resource bottlenecks the query is waiting for such as IO, CPU, memory, network, etc.

We will discover what causes wait events, review common wait events, as well as ways to remedy issues using wait time response analysis.

Attend this session and leave with the knowledge of:

  • How the SQL Server engine works
  • How to collect Wait Statistics
  • How to use and interpret the Wait Statistics data
  • What knobs you can turn to improve performance

Join this webcast and get ready to take your SQL Server Performance tuning to the next level.
