These Official Rules and Guidelines govern your participation ("Participant") in the "Win a trip to Visual Studio Live June 2018" ("Promotion"), sponsored by MSSQLTips ("Sponsor"). One ("Winner") will be selected for this giveaway.

Starts on February 8, 2018 and ends on May 10, 2018 at Midnight - Eastern Standard Time. ("Promotion Period").
The Promotion is open to active MSSQLTips.com newsletter recipients who complete the registration form on the MSSQLTips.com website between February 8 and May 10, 2018. The selected Winner must be an active MSSQLTips.com newsletter recipient.
This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
Employees of Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, their immediate family members and persons living in their same household, are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
By entering information on entry form, participants acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules and Guidelines ("Official Rules"), including eligibility requirements, and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or its agents as final.
The Winner must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated and/or posted.
There will be one Winner for this promotion.

All Promotion entries meeting the requirements of these Official Rules will be entered into a drawing to be held on May 11, 2018 where a random drawing will be held with the following prize awarded to one winner:
The expenses can include airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, parking and other transportation costs. The Winner must submit expenses to MSSQLTips.com in order to be reimbursed. Reimbursement will take place within 5 business days after expenses have been submitted and accepted and payment will be made via PayPal.
The winner will be contacted by phone or e-mail. If, within 3 business days of the prize drawing, a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize and/or, where applicable, an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release is not timely received, is incomplete or modified, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected from remaining valid eligible entries timely submitted.
Winner meeting all the eligibility requirements can expect to receive their prize paperwork/information within one week of the drawing. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Tax form 1099 will be issued when required by law. Sponsor is not responsible for any other expenses, costs or damages Winner may incur. Total value of Grand Prize is valued at approximately $3,495.00 USD. All travel arrangements will be made by the Winner.
The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not convertible to cash.
Sponsor may require winners to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and (where lawful) a publicity release as a condition of receiving the prize. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal laws and regulations. The Winner acknowledges and agrees that it will be the Winner’s sole obligation to report all federal, provincial, state and municipal income, and to pay all taxes related thereto, for all prizes received from Sponsor pursuant to this Promotion, if applicable. These rules govern all aspects of the Promotion and are binding on all participants. The Winner agrees to indemnify Sponsor and hold it harmless to the extent any obligations are imposed by law on Sponsor to pay any applicable federal, provincial, state and municipal taxes or similar items in connection with any cash award made to the winner by Sponsor. The Participant represents and warrants to Sponsor that by participating in this Promotion they are not violating any law or policy of their employer.
By participating in the Promotion, each Participant agrees to be bound by the Promotion Official Rules. Participants also agree to release and hold Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Promotion or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
Except where prohibited, by accepting any prize, the Winner consents to the use of his/her name and other information provided for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation. Participants email will be automatically added to the MSSQLTips email newsletter list. You can be removed from these lists at any time by requesting to unsubscribe.
After attending the event, the Winner should submit an article and pictures to be posted on the MSSQLTips website related to the conference and experience attending the conference.
