- create conditional updates with WHERE and CASE statements
- updates with JOINs and some advanced techniques using subqueries and OUTPUT clauses, and
- craft comprehensive transaction-based safety patterns.
The session emphasizes the critical importance of always testing with SELECT first, using transactions for protection, verifying row counts, and having rollback strategies using data and examples from the AdventureWorks2025 database.
