This session demonstrates the INSERT statement for adding new data to SQL Server tables using multiple methods from single row inserts to bulk operations.
Webinar participants will learn how to:
• insert data using VALUES clauses
• insert data using SELECT statements
• leverage SELECT INTO for creating new tables, and
• using stored procedure for creating result sets for insertion.
The session includes some best practices such as transaction usage, column list importance, and appropriate method selection based on data volume and source. Data and examples are provided from the AdventureWorks2025 database.
