I need to prepare for the Microsoft 70-473, Designing and Implementing Cloud Data Platform Solutions exam.  Can you provide resources to study and pass this exam?

The Microsoft 70-473 is one of our favorite certification exams. It is related to Azure SQL, hybrid environments and Azure VMs with SQL Server.

Who should take this exam?

This exam is oriented to DBAs or professionals who want to learn or who want to be certified in Azure SQL and Azure VMs.

Is this exam a requirement for any Certification?

This exam is optional to get the MCSA in Azure (Cloud Platform Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), it is also an optional exam for the MCSE: Data Management and Analytics.

Is this exam easy?

Yes, compared to the 70-532, 70-533 and 70-534 exams, this one is a piece of cake. However, if you do not have any experience in Microsoft exams and Azure, you should take the Exam 98-369 Cloud Fundamentals first.

Hello Daniel and everyone else,
I am planning to take the 70-473 exam before it expires in June 2019 .
Its been 2 years since Daniel posted this article and still this article remains the best source of information regarding this exam.
But possibly there may have been some updates regarding this exam and new material to go through.
Any further help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance. :-)

Azure is a tough subject to keep up with. "As of June 2017, this exam was updated. To learn more about these changes and how they affect the skills measured, please download and review the exam 70-473 change document." https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/exam-70-473.aspx

Your list is very helpful -- thanks for taking the time to list these links.  If you find some resources for the additional requirements (Postgres/MySQL) please include them.  Thanks!
