In 2014 a new tradition was started on MSSQLTips.com to recognize the Author and Rookie of the Year.  Authors that had at least 10 published tips qualified for the Author of the Year and new authors in 2014 that had at least 5 published tips qualified for the Rookie of the Year. In 2014 the following authors qualified for these awards:

Voting was conducted by the community in December 2014, the votes were scrutinized in early January 2015 and the winners were selected for each award based on one vote per unique IP address per day.  This was a very close race with thousands of votes.  After the votes were meticulously calculated, the winners of the MSSQLTips.com 2014 Author and Rookie of the Year are:

Author of the Year - 2014 Rookie of the Year - 2014
Koen Verbeeck Jeff Yao

Koen Verbeeck

Jeffrey Yao

On behalf of the community, we would like to congratulate Koen, Jeffery and all the authors that qualified for these awards.  All of the author contributions are valued by the community and we look forward to many more contributions by all of our authors and all new 2015 authors.

Thank you,
