In 2016, we had 25 different authors that qualified for either the Author
of the Year or the Rookie of the Year. To qualify for
the Author of the Year, the team member had to contribute at least 10 published tips in 2016.
To qualify for the Rookie of the Year, the team member had to be a new author in 2016
and contribute at least 5 tips published in 2016. The authors below qualified for
these awards.
On behalf of the community, we would like to congratulate Aaron, Nat and all
the authors that qualified for these awards. All of the author contributions are
valued by the community and we look forward to many more contributions by all of
our authors and all new 2017 authors. "Thank you" on behalf of the global SQL Server
community.

Congratulations for the winners and also all the authors and contributos. I like this sorts of iniciatives as it encourages us to share more with the SQL Community.
I thank Jeremy and Greg for their continuous encouragement for me to write and nourish. I am very thankful for all the readers of @MSSQLTips.com who spend their time to vote even during festive holidays.
